SAVT is an improvisation trio based in Istanbul and Strasbourg. Since their foundation in 2015, the trio has formed a repertoire bringing together improvisation and contemporary written music. Consisting of tanbur, classical kemenche, and violoncello, SAVT seeks new ways to create a unique musical language that expands the taksim tradition and encourage new music composition for traditional instruments.

SAVT est un trio d’improvisation basé à Istanbul et Strasbourg. Depuis sa création en 2015, le trio a développé un répertoire mêlant improvisation et musique contemporaine écrite. Composé de tanbur, de kemençe et de violoncelle, SAVT explore de nouvelles voies pour créer un langage musical unique, élargissant la tradition du taksim et encourageant la composition de nouvelles œuvres pour instruments traditionnels.
