Zoe Heselton is a British poet and musician based in Strasbourg, France. For the past few months, Zoe has been captivating audiences wherever she performs, often simply accompanied by her Fender Telecaster, which she masters with intricate fingerpicking, or in a duo with her friend Inès on bass. With Zoe's deep and powerful lyrics blending into her mesmerizing and haunting Blues melodies, they tend to create in the realms of Dark Folk and Flamenco, forming a delicate, timeless space outside the constraints of time and expectation—a special, intimate moment with their audience. For her debut album, Zoe gathers a group of talented and dear musician friends around her: Lily Chansard from Delacave, Merve Salgar on Ottoman Tanbur, Lise Barkas on hurdy-gurdy, and saxophonist Harutaka Mochizuki. Their sometimes urgent and dissonant arrangements deepen the fragile edges of Zoe's sweet melodies. From this benevolent communion, places emerge where clear tenderness and smoldering anger intertwine, creating narratives, poems, spells, and prayers that only wish for Love and care.
